Buckeye Brownies

I love Buckeyes and I love brownies.  What could be better than combining the two:)  I couldn't wait to share this recipe so here it is:)

Ingredients:
1 package of brownie mix made in an 8x8 or 9x9 pan, cooled

2 cups powdered sugar
1/2 cup softened butter
1 cup peanut butter
1 ts vanilla

8 oz chocolate chips
2 Tbl. Crisco

Mix the soft butter, peanut butter, and vanilla:

Sift the two cups of flour and add to the mix:

Mix it up:

Spread the mix on top of the brownies.  It will be stiff.  You can add a little milk if the mix seems too crumbly.  Press down using wax paper:

Cover and let that cool in the refrigerator for about an hour.

Next mix the chocolate chips and the shortening in a bowl.  Microwave to melt.  Keep stirring until it is smooth.  Pour over the cooled peanut butter topping:

Spread evenly.  Now you have three fancy layers:

Cover and keep it chilled.

Serving time....yum.  Sorry about that.  That was the first piece picture, lol.

This is a very rich dessert.  Savor it:)

  1. Mmmm... that looks so good! I'd try this one, but good grief! I wouldn't be able to stop with just one piece.
