Mike's Favorite Sausage And Peppers
Only three ingredients and my husband loves this meal. It is so easy to make a big batch and freeze in small containers for easy meals.
This is what you will need:
3 large green peppers
2 packs of Sweet Italian Sausage
1 large jar of spaghetti/pasta sauce
Cut the peppers in half and clean out the seeds. Wash the peppers and slice into good sized pieces:
Put all the peppers in the bottom of a crockpot:
Add a layer of sausage:
Pour some sauce on top:
Add the rest of the sausage and cover with sauce. Put the lid on and cook on Low for about 10 hours depending how soft you like your sausage.
After about 8 hours or so lift the lid and spoon off any fat:
Then take the sausage out and cut them into bite sized pieces:
Put it all back into the crockpot and stir it up:
Put the lid back on and cook for the remainder of the time. Serve over pasta.
This is a very easy dinner to make and it gives you lots of meals.
