Meatball Sub Casserole

I made this to bring over for my stepdaughter and her family.  It was a hit:)

Meatball Sub Casserole:

Ingredients:

1 large package of frozen garlic bread
45 oz. jar of your favorite spaghetti sauce
1(about 35) package frozen Italian meatballs
2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese

Heat the bread according to the package directions.  Finish off under the broiler so the bread won't get too soggy.

Once that is finished cool the bread and break into small chunks.  Spread in bottom of 9x13 pan.

Sprinkle some of the mozzarella on top and broil for a minute or so.

Meanwhile put the frozen meatballs in a pot:

Add the sauce and mix.  Heat until the meatballs are hot about 20 minutes.

Add that to the top of the bread and cheese in the pan:

Sprinkle the remaining cheese on top.

Bake in a 350 degree oven for 20-25 minutes until the cheese is melted.  I popped it under the broiler to get the cheese really browned.  I like it that way.

I hope you enjoy this as much as my family did:)

  2. Hello, I think your site might be having browser compatibility issues.

When I look at your blog in Safari, it looks fine but when opening in Internet Explorer, it has some overlapping.
I just wanted to give you a quick heads up! Other then
    that, great blog!

  3. Yum! :) Love this!

Which meatballs do you use? I know my Mama (yep - I said MAMA! ;)) always uses the frozen meatballs from "Sam's Club". We have moved and it simply is too far to go to Sam's. I have bought some frozen meatballs from a couple of other places, and they were not very good. Which ones do you buy?

You know I love y'all! Hug Niki for me!

    1. Hi Kats. Sorry I don't know which meatballs I picked up. I knew I wanted to try this recipe and Mike and I were at Walmart together. I just grabbed the brand they had. They were pretty good. Get the Italian seasoned ones. I will have to get some from Sam's next time we go:)
